Exciting news for all our tea-loving friends, especially those who like to tea tour: Erika’s Tea Room in Clermont, Florida has begun offering 3-day teatime retreats. Erika’s Tea Room will become your personal tea paradise for three days of baking classes, crafting, tea tastings, homemade breakfasts, afternoon tea luncheons and so much more. Owners Leila and Erika Shanoff were inspired to invite others to come behind the scenes to experience “everything the tearoom has to offer.” Gather a group of 10 or more of your closest tea friends and Erika’s Tea Room can plan your private teatime retreat on your own selected dates, or smaller groups and individual participants can sign up for the tearoom’s scheduled teatime retreats in July, August and October (details below). In this warm and welcoming environment, never feel afraid to come on your own. You’ll meet other tea lovers and make lifelong connections. You may enter as strangers, but you’ll leave as friends!
Teatime Retreat Activities
Each teatime retreat will have its own unique itinerary to reflect the season. Some of the July/August activities include:

- Daily Baking / Cooking Classes (How to Make the Perfect Scone, Baking with Tea, Tea Time Sandwiches)

- Create Your Own Custom Tea Blend
- Honey Tasting
- Matcha Tea Tasting
- Iced Tea Flights
Make sure to come hungry! Tea and food tastings will be served throughout the day.
Private groups can work with the Shanoffs to customize their own events.
About Your Hosts: The Shanoffs of Erika’s Tea Room
For 11 years, mother-daughter team Leila and Erika Shanoff have served afternoon tea in their downtown Clermont tearoom. Certified Tea Masters, they offer an extensive list of teas, which are also sold in their gift shop. We saw for ourselves their true love of afternoon tea when we visited in 2019, evident in the care they take to serve homemade, creative menus, while delivering gracious, friendly service to guests. While Leila bakes up a storm in the kitchen, Erika curates a vast selection of tea gifts, sold in store and online. Some of their most popular items are the tearoom’s fresh-baked scone bundles, custom teasets and birthday boxes.
