The Williamsburg Hotel in Brooklyn, NY checks several of our afternoon tea preferences at Destination Tea: completely scratchmade, delicious menu; kind service; quality teas decanted before being served; and a beautiful setting. Bottom line, your cool factor goes up just walking through these doors.

Our recent visit to Florrie Kaye’s was such joy, we are like the proud explorers who can’t wait to show you what we discovered. Less than one hour north of New York City and just 20 minutes west of Connecticut, Florrie Kaye’s sits on a quiet main street in the Hudson Valley town of Carmel. This tearoom is one of the few afternoon tea venues where you can spontaneously pop in for an afternoon tea (with perfectly baked scones) and/or a spot of lunch.

We can see what's to love at Chat Noir's afternoon tea: kind service, scratchmade pastries and a long list of aromatic teas enjoyed in a charming setting, all for a very affordable price. Chat Noir is another great choice for mixed groups who may not all want the afternoon tea menu, as you will order off the full menu (which includes afternoon tea, breakfast and lunch), once seated.
