Destination Tea’s 2nd Annual ATL Tea Party

For Destination Tea's second annual tea party, we welcomed tea business owners from Griffin to Dalton and in between. In addition to tearoom owners and tea party caterers, we also had local milliners, tea shop owners and the regional coordinator for the Jane Austen Society of North America. Beautifully, the tearoom owners gathered had a wide range of experience in the business: less than 5 years, 10+ years and 17+ years. (This may have been my favorite thing about the guest list). They spoke openly about the ups and downs of owning a tearoom, and consulted with each other on best practices.

Destination Tea Throws Its First Party for Atlanta’s Tea Professionals

We did it!! Destination Tea has hosted its first (and possibly inaugural?) ATL tea party, where we all had a blast. The guest list brought together a who's who of Metro Atlanta's afternoon tea scene, including tea room and tea shop owners, tea bloggers, authors and more, for a delicious royal tea catered by local vintage tea party caterer The Cheeky Teacup, with pop-up tea fascinator shop by Nabi.

Who Makes A Holiday Special

Then again, there is so much joy in giving, you could see it as a fair trade, the change from child to parent, from guest to hostess. It certainly teaches you to appreciate all the work parents and hosts do during the holidays, to make them special for everyone.
